Fall is an incredibly busy time for any jewelry artist, and this fall’s been no exception for me! In addition to getting ready for art shows, private trunk shows, and attempting to keep my web site updated, we celebrated my parent’s 50 year wedding anniversary earlier this month. It was a blast preparing for the event, and really wonderful to spend time with family at the celebration.
Last night, I was in attendance at an Artist Reception in Ashland, NE, as part of a fall art show. Artitudes, the organization hosting the show, set us up in a very nice photography studio. The building has been renovated with high, gorgeous tin ceilings, wood floors, and is very airy and open. Many different artists, from jewelry to pottery to fiber art, plus wine tasting from 4 Winds winery near Ashland. Really a fun evening!
I wanted to share a display idea I just found after reading Rena Klingenberg’s eNewsletter. For a wire artist, it’s perfect…I have wire hanging around all over the place, and the display idea fits right in with my style. Plus, these displays are easy to pack, what more could you ask for! Check out Beth Millner’s easy instructions to make your own displays.
And don’t forget…Beading Help Web’s anniversary is in the month of October as well…we’re celebrating by giving away a copy of Stringing Style 2 to one lucky reader! I love this book, it’s perfect for inspiration for beginners and advanced stringers, with easy to follow instructions and great photos. Entry rules here…hope to hear from YOU!
