Level: Easy

Materials
20g sterling wire OR two premade french ear wires
Two 10mm x 6mm clear faceted glass beads
Two 4mm sterling jump rings
26g sterling wire

Around The World earringsCut 2 sections of 26g wire approximately 12" long. String one clear bead on the end of the wire, leaving 1 ½" of wire sticking out of the end. Using the long end of the wire, wrap it around the bead in random fashion. Twist around lose end occasionally to anchor the wire at one end. When you have used about 9" of wire, finish with a wrapped loop, wrapping around the first end also. Clip excess wire from both the first end and the tail end of the wrap.

Repeat for second bead.

Attach beads to ear wires using sterling jump rings.

Optional: Create a handmade ear wire using 20g sterling wire. Using the smallest step of a 3-step tiered pliers, make a round closed loop. Using the largest step, make another loop, in the opposite direction, just above the closed loop. Do not close the larger loop. Finish the earring by bending the wire at a 90 degree angle and cutting cleanly, approximately ½" from the end of the open loop.

File wire end if necessary to soften rough edges. Hammer harden if desired. Remember, if you are allergic to sterling or need sensitive ear wires, do not use sterling wires!!
